Sue's Family Review

Professional, Personalable, Supportive, Caring, Friendly, Communicative, Reassuring, Realistic, Amazing -just some of the words I think of when I think of ESH community and how they helped my son and our family.

Right from my son’s first contact with Paul he felt at ease and comfortable to talk and listen to him. This was just before lockdown so over the next few months this contact continued over the telephone which helped him greatly.

It was obviously my son’s decision to commit to go to ESH for help.

For me it was the hardest but proudest day of my life when I took my son and watched him walk into the rehab.

Communication from ESH with the family over the first 2 weeks was very honest but reassuring, and then my son was allowed to contact us. I was anxious, but I was amazed by his positivity and change of attitude in such a short space of time when we spoke.

His days were full and structured with courses, counselling, zoom fellowship meetings, meditation, long walks and other physical activities including table tennis some evenings. There were just 6 residents and I feel this created a very secure personal journey for my son and he made friends with everyone and has kept contact with them since leaving. Also he could not speak highly enough about every single member of staff and everything that ESH stands for.

My son is now out of the rehab and his life has been turned around in the right direction. He has made so many new genuine friends from his time there and is continuing to work hard going to fellowship meetings and following the guidance that everyone at ESH has taught and shown him in order for him to move forward one day at a time in a positive direction.

Thank you Paul, Sue, Gavin and everyone who works at ESH you have given my son back his life to live and enjoy.
